Hope
Hope
Resurrection Sunday 2020 was unforgettable. We were in the middle of the shutdown and for the first time in my life, I was not going to a church building on Easter to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. With limited knowledge and so much confusion surrounding Covid, I remember such a feeling of uncertainty and overwhelm while facing the future. On Resurrection Sunday morning we gathered with my family and close friends to worship, eat and play together. A storm came through. I realized it was a day I would never forget. I did this painting to remind myself of the hope of the resurrection during a time I was poignantly aware of death. I wanted to offer this print for sale for any friends who may need a reminder of hope in their home.
